 Friday, April 8
 Gospel of the day (Jn 6, 1-15): At that time, Jesus went to the other side of the Sea of ​​Galilee, the Tiberias, and many people followed him because they saw the signs which he did on the sick. Jesus He went up the mountain and sat there with his disciples. Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews. When Jesus raising his eyes and see that many people coming toward him, he said to Philip, "Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?". He said this to test him, for He knew what he would do. Philip replied, "Two hundred denarii are not enough for everyone to take a little." He tells one of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, "Here is a boy with five barley loaves and two fish; but what is that among so many? ".

Jesus said, "Make the people sit down." There was much grass in the place. men in number about five thousand is therefore reclined. Jesus then took the loaves and, after giving thanks, distributed them to those who were seated and the same fish, everything they wanted. When they were filled, he says to his disciples, "Gather up the leftover pieces so that nothing is lost." So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten. When the people saw the sign he had done, he said, "This is truly the prophet who was coming into the world". Jesus Realizing that they would come and take him by force to make him king, fled back to the hills alone.
