Reading the Holy Gospel, Monday, March 7 (click here)

 Monday, March 7
Daily Gospel (Jn 4, 43-54): At that time, Jesus left Samaria for Galilee. Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his homeland. When he came into Galilee, the Galileans made him a good reception, because they had seen all he had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also had gone to the party. He returned then to Cana in Galilee where he had turned the water into wine.

There was a royal official whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and begged him to come down and heal his son, because he was going to die. Then Jesus said, "Unless you see signs and wonders, you believe not." The royal official said, "Sir, come down before my child dies." Jesus says, "Go, your son lives."

The man believed the word that Jesus had said, and set off. When he came down, he was met by his servants, and told him that his son lived. then asked them the time had felt better. They said to him: "Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him." The father realized it was the same time that Jesus had said, "Your son lives" and believed he and his whole family. This new sign, the second, Jesus performed when he returned from Judea to Galilee.
