Reading from the Gospel, Wednesday September 30 (click here)
Wednesday September 30
Gospel (Lk 9, 57-62): At that time, as they walked, one said, "I will follow you wherever you go." Jesus said, "The foxes have holes, and birds have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. "Another said, "Follow me." He said, "Let me go first and bury my father." He said, "Let the dead bury their dead; you go and proclaim the Kingdom of God. "Still another said, "I will follow you, Lord; but let me first say farewell to those at my home. "Jesus said: "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God."
