Reading from the Gospel, Sunday, 13 September (click here)

 Sunday, 13 September
Gospel (Mk 8, 27-35): At that time Jesus went with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi, and by the way he asked his disciples, "Who do men say that I am?" . They told him, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; others one of the prophets. " And he asked them, "But who do you say that I am?". Peter replied: "You are the Christ."

And he charged them vigorously than anyone about him. And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and resurrected three days. He spoke this openly. Taking him aside, Peter began to rebuke him. But, turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind me, Satan! For you are not God, but of men. "

Calling people while his disciples, said, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for my sake and the Gospel's will save it ".
