Reading from the Gospel, Thursday June 25 (click here)

Liturgical day: Thursday June 25
Gospel (Mt 7, 21-29): At that time, Jesus told his disciples: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my heavenly Father. Many will say to me that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'. And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; Depart from me, evildoers! '.

"So everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house upon a rock: the rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; but she did not fall, for it was founded upon a rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand: the rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat against that house and fell, and great was the ruin ".

And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the people were astonished at his doctrine; he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

Your brother in Christ, Father Santiago
