Reading the Holy Gospel, Tuesday October 18 (click here)

  Tuesday, October 18.
  Saints: St. Luke the Evangelist.
Daily Gospel (Lk 10, 1 to 9): At that time, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place where he himself would come. He said to them: The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest. id; Behold I send you as lambs among wolves. Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals. And do not greet anyone on the road.

In the house you enter, first say, 'Peace to this house. " And if any son of peace there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. Abide in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. In the city you enter and they receive you, eat what is set before you; Heal the sick who are therein, and say to them: "The Kingdom of God is close to you".
