Gospel of the day (Jn 21, 1-19): At that time Jesus appeared to the disciples again by the sea of Tiberias. He said in this way. There were together Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee and two others of his disciples. Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They replied, 'We'll come with you. " They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the shore; but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them: 'Guys, you have no fish? ". They said, "No". He said, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find." They cast therefore, and they could not haul it by the abundance of fish. The disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord." When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord put on the dress -for was naked-and plunged into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net with the fish; they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits.
Nothing jump ashore, they see a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread. Jesus said, "Bring some of the fish you just caught." Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net ashore, full of large fish, a hundred fifty-three. And there were so many, the net was not broken. Jesus says, "Come and eat." None of the disciples dared ask him, "Who are you?" Knowing that it was the Lord. Then it comes Jesus took the bread and gives it; and just as the fish. This was the third time Jesus appeared to the disciples after rising from the dead.
After eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?". Le he says, "Yes, Lord, you know I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." He said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?". Le he says, "Yes, Lord, you know I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep." He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?". Peter that the third time he was grieved: "Do you love me?" And said, "Lord, you know everything; you know I love you". Jesus said, "Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say: when you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you wanted; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and another will gird you and carry you where you do not want. " With this indicated the kind of death he would glorify God. That said, he added, "Follow me."
