Reading the Holy Gospel, Monday, April 11 (click here)

 Monday, April 11
Gospel of the day (Jn 6, 22-29): After Jesus had satisfied five thousand men, his disciples saw him walking on water. The next day, people who had remained across the sea saw that there was only one boat there, and that Jesus had not got into the boat with his disciples, but the disciples had gone away alone. But boats from Tiberias came near the place where they ate bread. When people saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they got into boats and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.

When they found on the shore of the sea, they said, "Rabbi, when did you get here?". Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek me, not because you saw signs but because you ate the loaves and were filled. Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures to eternal life, which will give the Son of man, because this is whom the Father, God, has set his seal. " They said to him: "What shall we do to do the works of God?". Jesus answered, "The work of God is to believe in him whom he has sent."
