Reading the Holy Gospel, Sunday, 27 March (click here)

 Easter Sunday, March 27
Gospel of the day (Jn 20, 1-9): The first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early in the morning when it was still dark, and sees the stone rolled away from the tomb. Runs away and comes to Simon Peter and the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken away the Lord, and do not know where they have laid him."

So Peter and the other disciple, and went toward the tomb. They ran together, but the other disciple ran ahead faster than Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent down and saw the linen cloths lying; but he did not enter. It comes Simon Peter following him into the tomb and sees the linen cloths lying, and the napkin that covered his head, not with the linen cloths but folded in a separate place. Then he went in also that other disciple, who had reached the tomb first; saw and believed, because until then they had not understood the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
