 Gospel of the day (Mt 28, 8-15): At that time, women departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. In this, Jesus met them and said, "God save you!". And they came to him, and embracing his feet, and worshiped. Then Jesus said to them, "Fear not. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me. "

While they were going, some of the guards went into the city to tell the chief priests everything that had happened. These, together with the elders held council and gave a good sum of money to the soldiers, telling them: "Say, 'His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.' And if the thing reaches the governor's ears, we will convince you and avoid complications. " They took the money and proceeded as instructed. And that version ran among the Jews until this day.
