Gospel of the day (Jn 7, 40-53): At that time, many among the people, who had heard Jesus, saying, "This is truly the prophet." Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "Is it going to come from Galilee Christ? Does not Scripture say that the Christ comes from the offspring of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David was? ".
It is therefore a division among the people because of Him originated. Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid a hand. The guards returned to the chief priests and the Pharisees. They told them, "Why do not you brought him? '. The officers answered, "No one ever spoke like this man." The Pharisees answered them, "ye have been led astray? Did He believed in a magistrate or any Pharisee? But those people who do not know the Law are accursed. "
He tells Nicodemus, who was one of them, who had gone above where Jesus: "Does our law judge a man without giving him a hearing and not knowing what you do?". They replied, "Are you also of Galilee? Investigates and see that from Galilee no prophet does not come out. " And they all went home.
