Reading from the Gospel, Sunday, 21 February (click here)

 Sunday, 21 February
Daily Gospel (Lk 9, 28-36): At that time, Jesus took Peter, John and James, and went up the mountain to pray. It happened while he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became dazzling white, and, behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah; which appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was to accomplish in Jerusalem.

Peter and his companions were heavy with sleep, but awake, they saw his glory and the two men who were with him and came to pass, when separated from him, Peter said to Jesus. "Master, it is good to be here. Let us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah, "not knowing what he said. He was saying these things, a cloud formed and overshadowed them; and entered into the cloud, they were filled with fear. And there came a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, my Chosen; Listen to him. " And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent and in those days, did not tell anyone what they had seen.
