Reading from the Gospel, Sunday, 17 January (click here)

  Sunday, 17 January
Daily Gospel (Jn 2, 1-12): At that time, a wedding at Cana of Galilee, and was there the mother of Jesus. He was also invited to the wedding Jesus and his disciples. And as missing wine because the wine was over wedding, Jesus tells his mother: "They have no wine." Jesus replied, "What I have with you, woman? It has not yet my time. " His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

Now there were six stone water jars meant for the purification of the Jews, two or three measures each. Jesus said to them, "Fill the jars with water." And they filled them to the brim. "Get him out now, tell them, and take it to the headwaiter." They took him. When the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it was (though the servants who had drawn the water, yes they knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, "Everyone serves the good wine first and when already they are drunk, the inferior. But you have kept the good wine until now. "

So in Cana of Galilee, did Jesus beginning of his signs. He revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him. Then he went down to Capernaum with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, but did not stay there many days.
