  Monday, January 4
  Daily Gospel (Jn 1, 35-42): At that time, John was again standing with two of his disciples. Looking at Jesus as he walked, he says, "Behold, the Lamb of God." The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Jesus turned, and seeing them following him, said: "What do you seek?". They replied, "Rabbi, which means" Teacher "- where do you live?". He responded: "Come and see". They came, saw where he lived and stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour. Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard John and followed Jesus. He first found his brother Simon and tells him, "We have found the Messiah" which means, Christ. And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus, fixing his gaze on him and said, "You are Simon the son of John; You shall be called Cephas "which means" stone ".
