   Wednesday, 30 December
   Daily Gospel (Lk 2, 36-40): There was also a prophetess, Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher, elderly; after marriage she had lived seven years with her husband, a widow to eighty-four years; She never left the Temple, serving God night and day with fasting and prayers. As at that very hour she gave thanks to God and spoke of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

So they performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.
