  Monday, November 9
Gospel (Jn 2, 13-22): When the Passover of the Jews was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting. Making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; He poured out the money changers and overturned their tables; and he told them that sold doves, "Take these things away. Do not make my Father's house a house of trade. " His disciples remembered that it was written: The zeal for your house will devour me.

Then the Jews answered him, saying, "What sign can you show us for doing this?". Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up". The Jews answered him, "Forty-six years have been slow to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?". But he spoke of the temple of his body. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this agreed, and they believed the Scripture and the words Jesus had said.
