Reading the daily Gospel, Tuesday November 17 (click here)

  Tuesday, November 17
Daily Gospel (Lk 19, 1-10): At that time Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. There was a man named Zacchaeus, who was chief tax collector, and rich. He was trying to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, because he was short. He ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see him, for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, looking up, he said, "Zacchaeus, come down; because I should stay at your house today. " He hurried down and welcomed him joyfully.

Seeing it, they all murmured, saying, "He has gone to be the guest of a sinner." Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord: "Behold, Lord, the half of my goods to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold. " Jesus said, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham, for the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost."
