   November 29, Sunday of Advent
  Daily Gospel (Lk 21, 25-28.34-36): At that time, Jesus told his disciples: "There will be signs in sun and moon and stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and anxiety about what is coming on the world; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to happen, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption.

"Beware that your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a snare; it will come upon all who dwell upon all the face of the earth. Stay awake, praying at all times that you may have strength to escape all that is to come, and may be able to stand before the Son of man. "
