   Daily Gospel (Lk 19, 41-44): At that time, Jesus, as he approached Jerusalem and saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If you too had only recognized on this day the message of peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days they will come upon you when your enemies will surround you with palisades, and will surround you everywhere you tighten, and you will crash to the ground you and your children within you, and not leave in thee one stone upon another, because thou hast not known the time of your visit. "
