From the Gospel of the day, Monday, November 16 (click here)

   Monday, November 16
Daily Gospel (Lk 18, 35-43): At that time, it happened that when Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging; to hear people passing, he asked what it meant. He was informed that Jesus of Nazareth was passing and started screaming, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!". Those who went before rebuked him to be quiet, but he cried out much more: 'Son of David, have mercy on me! ". Jesus stopped, and commanded him to be brought and, when he had come, he asked, "What do you want me to do?". He said, "Lord, you see!". Jesus said, "Go. Your faith has saved you. "And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people saw it, praised God.
