Reading from the Gospel, Thursday October 15 (click here)

 Thursday, October 15
Gospel (Lk 11, 47-54): At that time, the Lord said, "Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets your fathers killed! So you are witnesses and you agree with the works of your fathers; for they killed them and you build their tombs. Therefore said the wisdom of God: 'I will send prophets and apostles, and some will kill and persecute', that may be required of this generation the blood of all the spilled prophets since the world was created from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I assure you that this generation accounts to be asked. Woe to you, the lawyers, that you have taken away the key of knowledge! You did not enter in yourselves, and those who are entering you have hindered. "

And when he left there, the scribes and Pharisees began to harass him relentlessly and talk about many things, looking, lying in wait to catch something out of his mouth.
