Reading from the Gospel, Wednesday September 2 (click here)

Liturgical Day: Wednesday September 2
Gospel (Lk 4, 38-44): At that time, leaving the synagogue Jesus entered the house of Simon. Simon's wife's mother was a high fever, and they besought him for her. Leaning over her, he rebuked the fever, and the fever left her; she stood up to the point, she waited on them. At sunset, all who were sick with various diseases brought them; and putting his hands on every one of them, he healed them. Devils also came out of many, shouting, "You are the Son of God." But He, conminaba and not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Christ.

At daybreak, he left and went to a lonely place. People was looking and going where He tried to hold him to not let them. But he said: "Also to other cities I must preach the gospel of the kingdom of God, for this I was sent." And he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.
