Reading from the Gospel, Thursday September 10 (click here)

Day: Thursday September 10
Gospel (Lk 6, 27-38): At that time, Jesus told his disciples: "I tell you listen to me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse , pray for those who slander. If someone strikes you on one cheek, offer the other also; and who takes your cloak, do not withhold your tunic. When anyone asks you, give, and that takes away your goods do not demand it. And what ye would that men, I will also do you also. If you love those who love you, what thank have ye? Even sinners love those who love them. If you do good to them that do to you, what thank have ye? Even sinners do that much! If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what thank have ye? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much. But love your enemies; do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.

"Be merciful, as your Father is compassionate. Judge not lest ye be judged, condemn not and ye shall not be condemned; Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give and you shall receive; good, pressed down, shaken together, brimming measure put in your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured. "

Your brother in Christ, Father Santiago
