Gospel (Lk 9, 7-9): At that time Herod the Tetrarch all heard what was happening, and was perplexed; because some said that John had risen from the dead; others that Elijah had appeared; and others, that one of the ancient prophets had risen. Herod said, "John, I beheaded him. Who, then, it is this I hear such things? ". And he sought to see him.
