Reading from the Gospel, Sunday, September 27 (click here)

 Sunday, September 27
Gospel (Mk 9, 38-43.45.47-48): At that time, John said, "Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name and not with us and we forbade him because they came with us ". But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in my name and then be able to speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is for us. Whosoever shall give you to drink a glass of water that are Christ's, I assure you will not lose your reward.

"And Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe, it is better that you put around his neck one of those millstones moving donkeys and throw him into the sea. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. Better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. Better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. Better for you to enter one-eyed into the kingdom of God, with two eyes and be thrown into hell, where their worm never dies and the fire is not quenched. "

We share your brother in Christ, Father Santiago
