  Gospel (Mt 16, 24-28): At that time, Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Well, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? Or what can a man give in exchange for his life? For the Son of man cometh in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then He will reward each according to his conduct. I tell you, among those present there are some who will not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. "
