Reading from the Gospel, Sunday July 19 (click here)

Liturgical day: Sunday July 19
Gospel (Mk 6, 30-34): At that time, the apostles gathered around Jesus and reported all they had done and what they had taught. He then tells them, "Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a little." For the coming and going were many, and they had no time even to eat. And they went in the boat privately to a solitary place. But people saw them going and many recognized them; and they were hurried to the foot from all the cities and arrived before them. As he went ashore, he saw many people, he had compassion for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.
