Reading from the Gospel, Sunday July 12 (click here)
Liturgical day: Sunday July 12
Gospel (Mk 6, 7-13): At that time, Jesus called the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits. He ordered them to take nothing for the way, except a staff; no bread, no bag, no money in their belts; but "wear sandals and not spare tunic." And he said, "When you enter a house, stay there until you leave from there. If any place will not welcome you and do not listen, leave, shake off the dust from the soles of your feet in testimony against them. "So they went out and preached that men should repent cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed.
