Reading from the Gospel, Monday, July 6 (click here)

Liturgical day: Monday July 6
Gospel (Mt 9, 18-26): At that time Jesus was speaking, when a magistrate came and worshiped Him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her and she will live" . Jesus got up and followed him with his disciples. In this, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came up behind and touched the hem of his garment. For she said to herself, "I only touch his cloak, I will save." Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, "Cheer !, daughter, your faith has saved you." And the woman was saved from that hour.

When Jesus came home from the judge and saw the flute players and people fussing, saying, "Go away! The girl is not dead; she's asleep. " And they laughed at him. But people thrown out, He entered and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. And the news of the event spread throughout that region.
