 Gospel (Mk 12, 18-27): At that time, he came to Jesus some Sadducees, who deny that there is no resurrection, and asked him, "Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no child, his brother must take the wife and raise up seed to his brother. There were seven brothers; the first took a wife, died childless; also the second took her and died childless; and the third likewise. None of the seven left any children.
