Reading from the Gospel, Tuesday June 2 (click here)

Liturgical day: Tuesday June 2
Gospel text (Mc, 12.13 to 17): At that time, Jesus sent some Pharisees and Herodians to catch him in his words. Come and tell him, "Teacher, we know you are truthful and you do not care for anybody, because they view the condition of the people, but teach the way of God frankly: Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Do we pay or fail to pay? ".

But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said, "Why tempt ye me? Bring me a denarius and let me see. "They brought and said to them, "Whose is this image and inscription?". They said: "Caesar's." Jesus said, "What Caesar devolvédselo to Caesar, and God what belongs to God." And they marveled at him.
