Reading from the Gospel, Sunday June 21 (click here)

Liturgical day: Sunday June 21
Gospel (Mk 4: 35-41): One day, in the evening, Jesus told the disciples, "Let us go to the other side." Leaving the crowd, they took him in the boat just as he was; and there were other boats with him. In this, they raised a great gale and the waves beat into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. They woke him and said to him, "Teacher, do not you care if we drown?". He, having awakened, rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace, be still." The wind ceased and there was a great calm. He said to them: "Why are you so afraid? How have you no faith? ". They were filled with great awe and said to one another, "Who then is this whom even wind and sea obey him?".
