Reading from the Gospel, Thursday May 28 (click here)

Liturgical day: Thursday May 28
Gospel (Mk 10, 46-52): At that time, when Jesus was leaving Jericho, together with his disciples and a large crowd, the son of Timaeus (Bartimaeus), a blind beggar, was sitting by the roadside. Hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, "Son of David, Jesus, have pity on me." Many rebuked him to be quiet. But he cried out much more: 'Son of David, have mercy on me! ".

Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." They call the blind man, saying: "Cheer up, get up! Calling you. "And he threw aside his cloak, jumped up and came to Jesus. Jesus, addressing him, said: "What do you want me to do?". The blind man said to him, "Rabboni, you see!". Jesus said, "Go, your faith has saved you." And immediately he received his sight and followed him on the road.
