Liturgical Day: Sunday March 8
Gospel (Jn 2, 13-25): The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting. Making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; and told them that sold doves, "Take these things away. Make not my Father's house a house of trade. " His disciples remembered that it was written: Zeal for your house will devour me.
Then the Jews answered him, saying, "What sign can you show us for doing this?". Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up". The Jews answered him: "Forty-six years have been slow to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?". But He spoke of the temple of his body. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this agreed, and they believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had said.
While he was in Jerusalem at the Passover feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs which he did. But Jesus did not trust them because I knew them all and did not need to be given testimony about man, for He knew what was in man.
Your brother in Christ, Father Santiago
