Reading from the Gospel, Sunday March 22 (click here)

Liturgical Day: Sunday March 22
Gospel (Jn 12, 20-33): At that time, there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, "Sir, we would see Jesus." Philip went and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus. He answered, "when it glorified the Son of Man has come. Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life loses it; and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor.

"Now is my soul troubled. And what I say? Father, save me from this hour? But if I came to this hour for this! Father, glorify your name. " Then a voice came from heaven: "I have glorified it and will glorify it again." The people who were there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to him." Jesus answered, "This voice came not for me but for you. Now is the judgment of this world; now the prince of this world be cast out. And when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself. " He said this to show by what death he should die.
