Gospel Reading Saturday March 28 (click here)

Liturgical Day: Saturday March 28
Gospel (Jn 11, 45-56): At that time, many of the Jews which came to Mary, he saw what was done, believed in Him But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. Then the chief priests and the Pharisees convened council and said, "What do we do? For this man performs many signs. If we let him go like this, everyone will believe in him and the Romans will come and destroy both our holy place and our nation. " But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing, nor'll get into the account that you ought to die one by the people and not the whole nation perish." Did not say this on their own, but as being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation and not only for the nation, but to gather into one the children of God who are scattered -. From this day, they decided to kill him.

Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but retired from there to the region near the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and stayed there with his disciples. It was near the Passover, and many of the country went up to Jerusalem before the Passover to purify themselves. They looked for Jesus and said to one another stood in the temple, "What do you think? That will not come to the party?. " The chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where he was, as notified to stop him.
