Gospel Reading, Monday, January 26 (click here)

Liturgical Day: Monday January 26
Gospel (Mk 3, 22-30): At that time, the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, "He is possessed by Beelzebul," and "by the prince of demons cast out demons." Then Jesus, calling them to Himself and said unto them in parables: "How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom can not stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house can not stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he can not stand, but hath an end. But no one can enter the house of the strong and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man; then he will spoil his house. I assure you that everything will be forgiven the sons of men, the sins and blasphemies, for many they are. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, rather, is guilty of an eternal sin. "It is saying, "He is possessed by an evil spirit."
