Gospel Reading Today, December 3 (click here)

Liturgical Day: Wednesday December 3
Gospel (Mt 15, 29-37): At that time, from there, Jesus came beside the Sea of Galilee; He went up the mountain and sat there. And many people came to him bringing lame, blind, dumb and many others; they put their feet, and He healed them. So that the people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healed, the lame walking and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

Jesus called his disciples and said, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I send them away fasting, lest they faint on the way. "The disciples said, "How ourselves in a desert with enough bread to fill so great a multitude?". Jesus said, "How many loaves do you have?". They said, "Seven, and a few small fish." He commanded the multitude to sit on the floor. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke and it was giving them to the disciples, and the disciples to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the leftover pieces picked up seven baskets full.
