Reading from the Gospel of Today, November 18 (click here)

Liturgical Day: Tuesday November 18
Gospel (Lk 19, 1-10): At that time, Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. There was a man named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax collector, and rich. I was trying to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, because he was short. He ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see him, for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said, "Zacchaeus, come down Hurry, because I must stay at your house today. "He hurried down and welcomed him joyfully.

Seeing it, they all murmured, saying, "He has gone to be the guest of a sinner." Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord: "Behold, Lord, the half of my goods to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold. "Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house because this man too is a son of Abraham, for the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
