Gospel (Lk 21, 29-33): At that time Jesus took his disciples this parable: "Behold the fig tree and all the trees. When they throw outbreaks, seeing them, you know that summer is near. So likewise ye, when ye see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things happen. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass. "
