Liturgical Day: Thursday November 27
Gospel (Lk 21, 20-28): At that time Jesus said to his disciples: "When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is about. So those who are in Judea flee to the mountains; and those in the middle of town, to stay away; and those in the country not enter into it; because these are days of vengeance, and fulfill all that is written.
"Woe to those who are pregnant or nursing babies in those days! There will indeed be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people; and they shall fall by the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. There will be signs in sun and moon and stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and anxiety about what is coming on the world; because the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to happen, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption. "
Your brother in Christ, Father Santiago
