Gospel (Lk 9: 18-22): It happened that while Jesus was praying alone, with Him were the disciples and asked them, "Who do people say I am? '. They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; others, that one of the old prophets had risen. "He said, "But whom say ye that I am? '. Peter answered, "The Christ of God." But he commanded them to tell this strongly to anyone. He said: "The Son of man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised the third day."
