Today's Gospel reading, July 26

Liturgical Day: July 26, Saturday
Gospel (Mt 13, 24-30): At that time, the people Jesus proposed another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. When the new wheat sprouted and produced fruit, then appeared the tares also. The servants of the householder came to him and said, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How does it have tares? '. He answered, 'An enemy has done this.' They answered the servants: 'Wilt thou that we go and gather them?'. He said to them, 'No, lest while you gather up the tares, uproot the wheat. Let both grow together until the harvest. And at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn. '"
