   Gospel (Mt 12: 38-42): At that time you certain of the scribes and Pharisees: "Master, we would see a sign from you." But He answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation! A sign asks, not be given it except the sign of Jonah. For just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation and condemn it; because they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, a greater than Solomon. "
