Today's Gospel reading

Liturgical Day: November 24, Sunday
Gospel (Lk 23, 35-43): At that time, the leaders, they jeered Jesus saying, "He saved others, let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One." The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him vinegar, and saying, "If You are the King of the Jews, save yourself." Above him there was an inscription: "This is the King of the Jews."

One of the criminals hanging there reviled: "Are not you the Christ? Well, save yourself and us! ". But the other rebuked him, saying, "Do not you fear God, you who are under the same sentence? And we indeed justly, for we deserve for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong. "And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus said, "I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise."

Your brother in Christ, Father Santiago
