Gospel ( Lk 17, 26-37 ): At that time Jesus said to his disciples: "As in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. Eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, the flood came and destroyed them all. The same, as in the days of Lot: they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, but on the day Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. The same will happen on the Day when the Son of man is revealed.

"That day, which is on the housetop, with his possessions at home, not go down to pick them, and likewise, which is in the field not turn back. Remember Lot's wife. Whoever seeks to gain his life will lose it, but whoever loses it will save. I tell you, on that night there shall be two in one bed: one will be taken and the other left two women will be grinding together: one will be taken and the other left. "And I said, "Where, Lord?'. He replied, "Where the body is, there the vultures will gather."
