Gospel Reading, Monday, March 16 (click here)
Liturgical Day: Monday March 16
Gospel (Jn 4, 43-54): At that time Jesus came from Galilee Samaria. Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country. When he came into Galilee, the Galileans made him a good reception, because they had seen all he had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also went unto the feast. He returned to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine.
There was a royal official whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, went to him and begged him to come down and heal his son, who was going to die. Then Jesus said, "Unless you see signs and wonders, ye will not believe." The royal official said, "Sir, come down before my child dies." Jesus said to her, "Go, your son lives."
Man believed the word that Jesus had said, and set off. When down, he was met by his servants, and told him that his son lived. Then asked them the hour when he had felt better. They said to him, "Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him." The father realized it was the same hour that Jesus said, "Your son lives" and believed he and his whole family. This new sign, the second, Jesus performed when he returned from Judea to Galilee.
Your brother in Christ, Father Santiago
