Liturgical Day: Friday January 9
Gospel (Mk 6, 45-52): After five thousand men were filled, Jesus immediately hurried to his disciples to get into the boat and go ahead to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. After saying goodbye to them, he went to the mountain to pray. At sunset, the ship was at sea and he was alone on land.
Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was against them, about the fourth watch of the night cometh to them walking on the sea and wanted to pass by. But they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost and cried out, for they had all seen him and were terrified. But he, instantly, I spoke, saying: "Courage !, it's me, be not afraid." Then where they rose into the boat, the wind ceased, and were inside completely dumbfounded, because they had not understood about the loaves, but their heart was hardened.
Your brother in Christ, Father Santiago
