   Gospel (Luke 8, 16-18): At that time Jesus said to the crowds: "No one lights a lamp and covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, that those who enter may see the light. For there is nothing hidden that it is not manifest, and nothing secret that will not come to be known and discovered. Take heed therefore how you hear; because you have, you will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away. "
